Be careful on the type of Combo you purchase as you may end up with a DVD-ROM/CD Burner Combo, in other words it only reads DVD Discs but can also Burner CD-R’s and CD-RW’s.

CD Burners

Did you know that you can still burn Movie files to a CD-R or CD-RW and still play the discs in most DVD-ROM’s and DVD Players?

You can also use discs the same way as you would use a Floppy Disk with Drag & Drop option and saving files directly from programs like MS Word. Do use a CD-R or CD-RW in this way you will need Packet Writing Software such as Roxio Direct CD.
