How to install Nero Burning ROM
Before installing Nero CD burning software its advisable to configure the computer to make sure no conflicts arise during or after the installation of the burning program.
First thing to do before installing any CD Burning software onto a computer is to uninstall any burning application that maybe already installed. It is important to note that Nero and Roxio CD Burner can conflict when installed onto the same PC as both programs have the ability to use Packet Writing to UDF Format.
People tend to install many different software programs that can cause major headaches for CD Burning. It is advisable to configure the PC correctly so that other program do not interfere with the installation of Nero, to do this please follow the msconfig guide first.
If using Windows XP disable XP burning feature by going into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and IMAPI CD Burning Service should be listed. Double click on the IMAPI CD Burning will bring up the properties of the XP burning feature, set the startup type to 'disabled'.
Now that a clean boot has been performed on the system and there are no running programs such as anti-virus or anti-spyware apps install the Nero software from the CD as normal. The CD should start automatically but if not go into 'My Computer' and start the CD manually. Install the Nero software by going through each step of the installation window and make sure to restart the computer once it completes.
Use the Nero Clean Tools that are available to remove all traces of the Nero software from computer, including the registry.
